We are seeking a part-time Government Relations Advisor specializing in the Philippines to serve our diverse, cross-sector client base. In this role, you will act as a dedicated advisor, helping our clients decode the local regulatory landscape, build critical institutional networks, and execute projects smoothly. Your expertise will be key to developing tailored strategies that address the unique policy challenges faced by clients across different industries. Job Responsibilities​ 1. Be responsible for delivering timely, precise, and actionable professional advice on Philippines’ government policies, regulatory updates, and pertinent legal trends. This is to ensure our business operations remain compliant and our strategic development is fully aligned with the local landscape. 2. Function as the core liaison to manage and nurture strategic relationships with Philippine government entities (spanning trade, investment, foreign affairs, and sector-specific regulators) and mainstream media. Your role is to facilitate constructive dialogue and partnership, turning these connections into a strategic asset.​ 3. Employ your deep-rooted local networks and industry ties to: a) support seamless project coordination, b) navigate and resolve policy-driven challenges, and c) cultivate enduring, productive relationships with essential stakeholders.​ 4. Be responsible for tracking and assessing evolving political, policy, and regulatory dynamics in the Philippines to deliver clear, timely briefings to company leadership. This analysis is critical for informed decision-making to reduce exposure to threats and to identify and act on potential opportunities.
Job Requirements
1. Candidates must have a professional background in key Philippine institutions. Significant experience with or access to legislative bodies, government agencies, or foreign affairs is required, coupled with a demonstrated history of utilizing that position or network to create positive impact. 2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Full professional proficiency in both English and Filipino (Tagalog). 3. Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, from government officials and media to internal teams. 4. Deep knowledge of the Philippine political landscape, regulatory processes, relevant industry policies, and local culture. 5. Familiarity with the policy-making and the specifics of regulatory compliance is highly valued.
