During my internship as a Design Engineer at Atlantic Renewables in Manchester, I played a pivotal role in designing and delivering bespoke solar PV systems for residential and commercial clients. One of my key achievements was leading the design of a 100kW on-grid solar PV system for Robert Scott & Sons Ltd., optimizing energy output using PVSol and PVsyst while ensuring compliance with G99 and G100 grid connection standards. I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, supply chain specialists, and installation crews, to deliver efficient and sustainable energy solutions tailored to client goals.In addition to technical design, I integrated battery storage and EV charging infrastructure into projects, enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability. I also managed the company’s CRM system to coordinate with subcontractors, track project milestones, and ensure seamless project execution. Regular site visits allowed me to assess interconnection plans, troubleshoot design challenges, and guarantee successful system integration.This experience not only sharpened my technical proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSol, and PVsyst but also strengthened my project management and client-facing skills.
