Responsible for development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategy to bring brand awareness to U.S. market for award winning Laifen Technology products (#laifen_tech). Plan and implement impactful marketing strategies, creation of student marketing internship program, strategize marketing efforts including major domestic and international trade shows, enhance brand positioning and increase engagement with new and loyal customers.

Courses taught include Media 302 (Radio Production), Media 200 (Media Skills), Media 312/Humanities 450 (The Art of The Podcast), and Media 340 (Television Reporting and Anchoring.

I co-founded the station in the fall of 2009 and am now responsible for daily oversight for the broadcasting voice of Lander University. We have approximately 75 students actively involved in all areas of station operation. We currently broadcast on the free Radio FX app and you can always find us at www.xlr1.org. I host a daily radio show, conduct weekly staff meetings with student directors, have oversight of setting and maintaining budget for station. Also, I am responsible for teaching two radio production courses per semester, the planning and implementation of station philosophies and strategies, creating work schedules, making editorial decisions under tight deadlines, staying abreast of current affairs and cultivating strategic relationships with community leaders.

I served on the national Board of Directors for College Broadcasters, Inc., CBI is a member-driven organization serving students and advisers of college and high school electronic media outlets across the country. Through events, programs, and a network of expertise, CBI provide our members with educational and professional opportunities and facilitate advocacy.

Feature length documentary film based on the life of Lander University founder, Dr. Samuel Lander (1833 - 1904). Eighteen months of research and interviews preceded the release of this one hour documentary which has been featured on South Carolina Educational Television and is available through SCETVs on-demand video resource for every school in South Carolina.

Responsible for composing, editing, gathering, and reporting informative and entertaining news on both stations including live news updates during morning, noon, and afternoon shows. Prepared local and state wide stories, newsbreaks, teasers, and headlines. Hosted daily talk show on AM station, and weekly news interview feature with business and community leaders. WTTL was a community news leader during my tenure as news director often with myself or a fellow reporter doing live reports with lots of sound bites from breaking news events, elections, school board and council meetings, economic summits, press conferences, etc. Developed and maintained news operating budget and tracked expenses within station guidelines.

Mid-day host on WCBH including the Two State Classic Cafe sponsored lunch time request show. Besides daily on-air shift, duties included extensive commercial production, numerous station appearances, music programming, copywriting and developing promotional ideas for my mid-day show and the station at large. Extensive use of phones to interact with audience through contests/promotions/requests.

Responsible for gathering, writing, and delivering daily newscasts and took part in The Yawn Patrol morning show. Conducted interviews with community leaders and news makers and used sound bites for daily newscasts. Worked with other departments across station to involve others in the news gathering process. Assisted in branding station to maximize community impact. Part of the original staff signing the station on the air for the first time.
