As our team’s Principal Consultant, I bring 10+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector to a diverse range of clients who are creating new programs, engaging with new audiences, and telling new stories about their transformative work. I add critical capacity through my interdisciplinary experiences as a teacher, writer, researcher, project manager, and curriculum designer.

I coordinate grantwriting efforts for Houstons leading music education nonprofit, which serves more than 2,600 children in early childhood education centers across the city of Houston with developmentally appropriate weekly music and movement classes.

Im Music Together® instructor for Prelude Music for Children, an early childhood music center for children and families in Houston. For Preludes online Fall 2020 session, I created a 12-week supplementary Prelude Preschool program with daily literacy, numeracy, and mindfulness activities for young children, their parents, and caregivers to supplement daily music classes from Preludes many instructors. I filmed more than 50 videos that have been used daily by families on four continents and in six US states.

I review apps, websites, and games for Common Sense Media, the leading independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids thrive in a world of media and technology. In 2015 and 2016, I served as assistant editor of the education divisions teacher-focused Ratings and Reviews, and I have led trainings on effective writing and reviewing for the education editorial staff. Since 2018, my work has focused on music apps, civic engagement tools, literacy platforms, social media, and how developers approach digital privacy and safety.
