Advancing and integrating diversity, equity and inclusion within the Duke Identity and Diversity Lab is critical to our existence. To be effective researchers and colleagues we need a highly diverse team that allows all individuals to retain their uniqueness and their sense of belonging.Our lab goes further than to expand social identity, attitudes, and perception research– we are committed to amplifying underrepresented voices of diverse backgrounds. We strive to produce work that overcomes socioeconomic and other systemic barriers that are experienced by individuals on a local to institutional scale.

The Emily Krzyzewski Center, a nonprofit organization in Durham, North Carolina, implements four distinct programs designed to build on the academic, career, and leadership potential of students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Collectively, our programs serve students from elementary school through college and equip them with the skills necessary to successfully complete higher education, connect to promising careers, and become agents of change within their communities.

The mission of RMHC is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. They provide a temporary home for families to be actively involved in their childrens care while they receive access to medical care.-Managed front desk reception, including greeting visitors and in-home families, and responding to telephone requests for information and services-Supported executives and handled additional house projects as needed, including community fundraisers and transportation coordination for families and patients-Dispersed incoming mail to recipients throughout the office and house, maintained and organized donations and incoming volunteers
