(7 years 10 months) Managing Strand Energy which has, over the years, developed into a consultancy within renewable energy (subsidies, asset sales & distressedsituations). The business has now developed into an International energy consultancy specialising in LNG and the logistics systems / virtual pipelines which are required to serve LNG markets.

(4 years 1 month) With responsibility for complex projects within the construction industry, I led the design and production of components for the stadium industry, primarily seating systems. I designed and produced a range of containers and modules for the renewable energy industry, manufactured both in the UK and China, and completed the supply of seating systems for Swedbank Stadium in Stockholm, Sweden, the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, and Molyneaux Stadium. Additionally, I designed and manufactured large, aluminium structures for the Crossrail Station, Canary Wharf, and spearheaded the demolishing and structural modification of existing stands - notably for FC United of Manchester.

(4 years 4 months) Managing the design, manufacture and supply of specialised container rail industry, I directed the production of bespoke products to fit clients’ operational requirements. This included Access Systems, ISO-specialised and Offshore equipment, Military and Second-hand Containers, Modules, Swap Bodies, and Biomass Containers. I also led a range of special projects to include submarine carriers, loading ramps, display trailers and railway projects, involving travel to mainland China (North and South) and the management of trade finance facilities. Delivering a unique design and operational consultancy service, I met specific customer requirements for individual projects. Through the creation of standardised and increasingly efficient shipping containers, we reduced shipping costs and transit time for clients.

(3 years 9 months) At Gulf Intermodal SpZoo, I steered the negotiation, acquisition and re-start of the company. I led the manufacturing operations of a range of specialised container products from a 330,000 sq ft factory, managing product design as well as business development initiatives. I handled personnel issues, and successfully negotiated with Solidarity. The role also included the conceptualising and designing of products, including offshore equipment, car carriers for railway use, and military equipment.

(3 years 10 months) Heading a subsidiary company for Gulf Offshore, I specialised in the provision of containerised waste removal services for the UK government, and the management of container movement operations by road and intermodal rail networks. I devised and led the entire project with a team of 120 employees, turning over £1m monthly. This included the Value Recovery Project and the Contaminated Lan Removal Project associated with Foot and Mouth, involving the removal of over 150,000 tonnes of contaminated earth from over 120 locations from Cornwall to Northumberland. Within a two-year period, 17,000 container movements were completed.
