Trained people in the fine arts of stock trading for 8 years, and wrote a weekly column for stock traders (over 350 issues). Then for 3 years I was The Gold Enthusiast, writing a daily column about the gold sector (over 650 articles total). Also was the trade picker for the Golden Hammer trading service, and did a monthly seminar on gold sector trading.

Business analysis work for a new application to help manage funding for graduate students at this Ivy League institution.

Reading applications and making initial recommendations for undergraduate admissions for this highly selective, Ivy League Engineering program. I read admissions for many seasons throughout my years with Cornell, honored to be chosen to continue after leaving Engineering.

Team Lead for Applications & Reporting Team within COECIS IT Service Group. Responsible for all work coming in and going out of 4-person programming, development, and reporting team. Interfaced with Engineering and Computing College leaderships to gather requirements and supply information. Served on several University commitees including IT Policy, IT Strategy, Admissions Planning, and Web Accessibility. Worked with a highly-capable IT Director, Infrastructure team lead and User Support team lead to provide comprehensive IT support to both these top-ranked Colleges.

Restructured into Senior Developer in the Enterprise Applications and Reporting group, inside the College of Engineering / Computing and Information Sciences IT Service Group. Primary responsibilities are application development, support, and reporting for student service units; faculty activity reporting via ActivityInsight; college website technical support. Currently embedded in the Engineering Student Services and Engineering Diversity Programs offices. Other duties as assigned.

Strategize, plan, & provide analysis, design, programming and support for system and data needs for all student service units of Cornells College of Engineering. Worked closely with unit directors, providing technology to help them meet their unit goals. Served on several key committees developing university-wide IT policies including Data Steward Delegates and STARS reporting practices. Served on Engineering curriculum, student services restructuring and college workforce planning committees. Member of design and reporting groups for PeopleSoft student datamart, developed several central reporting models in Hyperion/Brio. Designed, programmed and maintained many web-based ColdFusion applications ranging from simple information-push to highly-secure data collection and analysis systems. Oversaw the Engineering Registrars Office 7/02-8/06, restructured to its current form. Served as acting college registrar 10/02-12/02.

Lead developer for College of Arts & Sciences student services unit. Worked closely with admissions, advising, registrar and Deans offices to improve processes by specing and developing new systems, while maintaining and/or modifying existing systems. Also worked in many University-scale projects involving vendor and software selection, reporting system development and process improvements.

Responsible for all aspects of customer support, testing, and documentation. C-WAY developed and marketed the Production Reservation System (PRS), one of several brainchildren of Dr Richard Conway and Dr William Maxwell (both now emeritus faculty at Cornell University). PRS was a finite capacity scheduling system that exploded orders into their production operations and material inputs, and scheduled them using finite-capacity scheduling algorithms. C-WAY sold systems worldwide; I was directly involved with installations in Malaysia, Japan, Germany and the USA.
