Responsible for developing and expanding PPM Test’s distributor network in the Asia Pacific Region. PPM Test manufactures Sentinel and point2point fiber optic systems and associated probes and sensors used to transport analogue/RF signals in applications such as EMC testing and high energy physics. Built and managed Gilats largest SE Asian sales and technical support office located in Bangkok, supporting sales and post-sales activities in the region. While Managing Director of the Thailand office, was also responsible as account manager for several key countries as well as for building and managing the pre-sales technical marketing team in SE Asia. During the same period, organized and managed Gilats SE Asian Customer Service team with staff located in Bangkok as well as several SE Asian countries. Built a customer training facility in Bangkok that has trained, to date, over 800 customer students.

Responsible for sales of Gilat VSAT equipment and services in several countries, including Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar and the Philippines. Met or exceeded sales targets. Leveraged on my technical background in Satcom and cellular/data networking to gain customer confidence, in order to close deals quickly. Penetrated new verticals in the region including SE Asian military organizations, cellular network operators, government, oil & gas, national elections and enterprise clients. Opened new territories for Gilat including Myanmar, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Managed customer demos which resulted in Gilat solutions replacing the incumbent vendor in several countries including Japan and Philippines.

Built and managed Gilats pre-sales engineering team, with team members located in Bangkok, Jakarta, Delhi and Kuala Lumpur offices. Responsible for network design of all Gilat Asian VSAT networks delivered between 2003-2008. Travelled extensively, performing hundreds of on-site technical and sales presentations across the Asian region over an eight-year period. Authored white papers, applications notes, press releases, videos and other media to support sales activities in the region, and to assist Gilat customers to market VSAT services using Gilat equipment. Supported regional Satcom trade shows (including CommunicAsia, APSCC and APSAT) for over 15 years. Implemented business development campaigns which opened new territories for Gilat (including Myanmar, Vietnam, the Philippines) resulting in significant sales in those countries.

Following re-location to Thailand in 1997, built and managed Gilats post-sales technical support organization in South East Asia. Managed technical support engineers in several remote Gilat offices, including Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Delhi. Built Gilats Customer Training Center facility in Bangkok, and personally trained over 500 Gilat customer students from Asian countries, saving the cost of professional trainers to be dispatched from Gilat HQ. Developed region-specific customer training materials and presentations.

Responsible for the design, integration test, installation and customer acceptance of VSAT data networks in China, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Provided formal onsite training for international customers. Assigned as systems engineer to customer accounts in the Pacific Rim region, providing in-country applications engineering and troubleshooting support.Provided in-country pre-sales support for the Asia/Pacific sales team. Prepared and delivered in-country technical presentations. Recommended network solutions involving both satellite and terrestrial components. Analyzed customer networks and recommended changes resulting in improved customer satisfaction, improved network performance and add-on sales.

Responsible for the design, coding, and system testing of system software for the SkylinX.25 VSAT products. Provided on-site support during the installation of Scientific-Atlantas first VSAT network in St. Louis, Missouri. Responsible for the installation and customer acceptance of Scientific-Atlantas first international VSAT network located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Supported domestic and international VSAT customers before the existence of a formal systems engineering or customer service group.
