Summer office assistant for Marquette University Advancement working with Advancement Officers to promote and maintain alumni giving. Work included: corresponding via emails, creating spreadsheets, summarizing data, making phone calls, soliciting alumni, making copies, monitoring social media, attending meetings, utilizing Raisers Edge software, and specific marketing efforts targeting young alumni.

American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer certified lifeguard, along with American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI). Duties include teaching swimming lessons, maintaining a safe environment, interacting with patrons, testing chemicals, providing good customer services, and attending trainings and meetings.

Co-Chairs work directly with University Advancement to raise awareness throughout the current senior class of the philanthropic impact of giving as an alumni. The Co-Chairs are in charge of recruiting and managing roughly 20 committee members. The Senior Challenge Committee is responsible for the senior class gift to the university as well as planning and executing the sponsored events and outings. Marketing Chair duties include social media management, outreach, recruitment, and education.

The Orientation Planning Team (OPT) is comprised of four students. We worked part time during the Spring semester, and full time from late May through early September, to plan and coordinate events for new students and their families. Another part of the OPTs job is to hire and train a staff of 100+ students. During my tenure, I designed, provided training for, and implemented a values-based recruitment strategy, a written application, and an interviewing process with group processing and one-on-one components. I led our team in successfully recruiting, screening and selecting 100 orientation leaders from a pool of roughly 300 applicants.At Marquette University, Orientation Programing is broken up into four Preview Session in late June, as well as New Student & Orientation Week in late August. The OPT also helps with Winter Orientation for transfer students and incoming freshmen. As the Special Events Coordinator, responsibilities included contracting with agencies and performers, balancing a budget, and planning all social events. Additionally, valuable public speaking opportunities was gained through the privilege of addressing the incoming class of 2019 with Marquette University’s President at four different summer orientation sessions.

The Campus Review Team is a division of Student Affairs at Marquette University that works to better the incoming students Orientation experience and look for ways to improve Orientation as a program. Duties also included attending reaccreditation meetings, submitting data, and giving feedback.

A peer leadership position that entails leading Preview for incoming freshmen during the month of June and leading New Student and Family Orientation in the month of August. The months leading up to June and the summer months will include training and team building activities.

This position entails heading and organizing the 25th annual Marquette University Hunger Clean-Up. Hunger Clean-Up is a student run organization that is Marquette and Milwaukees largest day of service.
