Plan and execute campus-wide events, including Career Horizons, where 300 high school students from multiple different districts explore the campus and the over 30 employers from the area that relate to degree programs offered. Other events include Get Connected information sessions for new students, Advisement Preparation sessions where students learn to use the tools available to plan their education, Open House, and Accepted Student Days. Build campus-wide SUNY Homeless Liaison program by writing policy, building relationships with campus and community stakeholders, students, and community members. Coordinate on campus, community, and virtual events and other college-wide activities and initiatives to recruit and onboard new students. Connect new and existing students with college and community resources to ensure success of entry or re-entry into the college setting and facilitate long-term success. Act as a student-faculty-staff liaison to collaborate with various departments within the college to ensure student needs are met and interventions are meaningful and productive. Serve on union negotiations committee, one search committee, Higher Education in Prison advisory Council, Online Student Success Collaborative, and other committees as invited.

I teach adult and youth painting classes.

I dabble in all things creative, but my favorite medium is abstract fluid art. I use color to evoke calming emotions. I have been accepted to several juried shows, and won first place at the Colden Art Festival in 2023. Commissions are available, and my website is coming soon.

Complete contacts in person at the juvenile’s home, school, and employment while maintaining situational awareness and addressing criminogenic needs with motivational interviewing and evidence-based strategies. Maintaining an awareness of services and their availability, and referring youth and families. Created, wrote and obtained procedural policy for, and implemented the department’s Peer Support team. Serve coalitions that promote community safety initiatives and enhance outcomes for at-risk clients. Volunteered for the county’s COVID-19 pandemic response team with the Emergency Operations Department. Tasks included answering public calls, registering the public for testing and vaccinations, running social media, learning to sew masks and teach jail inmates same, and providing updates to administration and legislature.
