Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Objective Management:
Develop the long-term (3-5 year) sales strategy and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the US market; set clear, measurable business objectives (KPIs) and ensure the team's deep understanding and resolute execution of these goals.
Conduct regular business reviews, analyzing market trends, the competitive landscape, and internal data to dynamically adjust sales strategy in response to market changes.
Distributor Relationship & Channel Management:
Establish and deepen strategic partnerships with senior leadership at core distributors, moving beyond day-to-day operational maintenance to co-develop long-term business growth plans.
Lead the design of a best-in-class distributor management system, including tiering, enablement, performance evaluation, and incentive policies to maximize channel loyalty and sales potential.
Innovative Channel & EDU Market Development:
Explore and develop innovative physical retail models, leading the planning and execution of high-value-add concepts like "Store-in-Store" programs, interactive experience zones, and live demonstrations to enhance brand equity.
Build and manage a professional EDU channel distributor network, developing a deep understanding of its unique procurement and decision-making processes to establish xTool as a leading brand in the education sector.
P&L Management & Team Leadership:
Take full ownership of the sales department's P&L; develop comprehensive strategies including pricing, channel mix optimization, and expense control to drive profit growth and achieve financial targets.
Build, lead, and motivate a high-performance sales team, fostering a results-driven and customer-centric culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations:
Collaborate deeply with the Marketing department to jointly formulate Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, channel marketing plans, and lead conversion goals. Ensure strong alignment between Sales and Marketing on brand messaging, promotional activities, and customer acquisition.
Establish an efficient collaborative mechanism with the Customer Service department to integrate customer feedback from pre-sales, sales, and post-sales into market insights that inform product optimization and sales strategy adjustments. Jointly commit to improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Work effectively with other cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations, and Legal, to ensure sales strategies are fully supported and successfully implemented.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
10+ years of sales management experience in consumer electronics, smart hardware, or a related technology field, with at least 5 years in a senior manager or director-level leadership role.
Core Competency Requirements:
Must have a proven track record of successfully managing diverse physical channels, with a deep understanding of the business models for distributors, retail, and vertical markets (like education).
Must have direct experience with business negotiations and strategic partnerships with national Big Box Retailers in the US.
Must have direct experience managing a sales P&L, with deep insight and hands-on experience with the key financial levers that impact profitability (e.g., pricing, costs, channel margins).
Must possess top-tier distributor relationship management skills, with an aptitude for building C-level trust and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial strategic partnerships.
Experience in education industry sales or channel management is a significant advantage.

Excellent cross-functional leadership skills, with proven experience in driving close collaboration between sales, marketing, and service teams to achieve shared business objectives.
Outstanding team leadership and talent development capabilities, with the ability to inspire a team to meet and exceed ambitious goals.

Strong data analysis skills and financial acumen, with the ability to make decisions based on data and ROI.
