Work hours per week: 40 Job benefit: We offer a competitive salary with a 10 month contract, tied to the school calendar (mid-August through mid-June). 30 days’ paid holiday plus personal/sick leave are included in the compensation. Contract can be renewed yearly, upon review by the Parents’ Committee (School Board).

We are seeking a qualified “lead teacher” for the Butterfly-aged class. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3pm. Native English speakers are preferred and prior preschool or kindergarten teaching experience plus university degree in Education required. The lead teacher will conduct the classes in English, with support from an assistant Chinese teacher. Candidates should be caring, creative, full of energy, and have a positive attitude. We expect you to be able to partner together well with the other teachers and be highly self-directed, as you will be developing and preparing your own lesson plans. Excellent organization and communication skills required. The ideal candidate will also have some conversational-level Mandarin ability, and is a current resident in Shanghai (holding valid residence permit) with plans to remain living here for at least the next 2-3 years.
