Computer Science Teacher Basic Info School: Ningbo International School Report to: Head of School / Academic Coordinator Teaching Age Group: Middle & High School Salary & Benefits: Monthly salary ranges from 28,000 to 35,000 RMB. Accommodation allowance is 3,800 RMB. This position offers 12-month salary package, along with nearly 3 months of fully paid winter and summer vacations. Job Summary Teach computer science, coding, digital literacy and technology courses following the American curriculum. Cultivate students' computational thinking, responsible digital behavior and problem-solving abilities. This role does not involve school IT system, network or infrastructure management.

Main Duties 1. Design and deliver differentiated computer science lessons for students at various proficiency levels, adopting project-based learning and hands-on activities. 2. Develop lesson plans, assessments and teaching materials; keep accurate records of students' grades, attendance and learning progress. 3. Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere and guide students to abide by digital citizenship rules. 4. Provide targeted academic support to students and communicate regularly with parents and school leadership. 5. Collaborate with fellow teachers, participate in professional training, and stay updated on the latest developments in computer science education. Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education or related disciplines. 2. Prior teaching experience and valid teaching certification are preferred. 3. Solid programming skills are required. Proficiency in Java and C++ is mandatory. Relevant AI teaching experience is highly preferred. 4. Familiar with coding platforms and educational software for computer science instruction. 5. Excellent classroom management, lesson planning and communication skills. 6. Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a bonus. 7. Align with the school’s core values and attach importance to students' character development. Preferred Experience 1. Skilled in block-based and text-based programming, including Scratch, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and other related tools. 2. Hands-on experience in robotics, AI literacy, digital design and maker education. 3. Familiar with American and international school curricula, as well as mainstream campus learning platforms. ​
