I'm a Chinese national who has recently moved to Qingdao who has spent over 10 years in the UK from primary school to university. I finished my Masters degree in December 2025 with distinction, and I was nominated for the dean's list after achieving the highest grade in my cohort. From my time in the UK, my English proficiency matches that of a native speaker and exceeds my Chinese. Designed and developed a budget-friendly ESP32-based remote communication system to enhance accessibility for elderly care home residents. Interfaced device with the institution’s Wi-Fi to enable real-time data transmission. Programmed the system to update a central webpage with the status and location of sender devices across the facility, improving staff coordination and response times. Practiced user-orientated design, gathering user requirements and feedback through stakeholder engagement (caregivers andresidents) to optimize functionality.

Proposed and developed novel signal processing algorithms (polynomial regression and LSTM) for a force myography device. Developed a prototype mechanical testing machine for the calibration of force myography device using STM32 and ESP32 microcontrollers. Conducted an end-to-end workflow from experimental setup, data collection and pre-processing to machine learning model training and evaluation. Authored a 7,500 word thesis and presented key findings to experts and other students.
