The Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive, led by Gary Garrison, an award-winning playwright, author and educator consists of rigorous writing workshops and discussions of the art, craft, and business of playwriting with Gary and a wide range of distinguished guest artists.

The Creative Youth Development grant program is rooted in the CAC’s belief that arts learning is an essential tool for healthy human development and that it should be available to all young people throughout California. Beneficiaries of Creative Youth Development projects include youth from infancy to 24 years of age.

Modeled after Lightfoot’s unique summer clerkship program for law school students, the immersive Lightfoot Academy seeks to provide a front row seat for diverse future lawyers to see trial lawyers in action as they work on behalf of their clients. Over the course of the program, students have direct, one-on-one access to experienced trial lawyers, with the chance to participate in multiple aspects of the litigation process, including sitting in on client and team meetings, observing trial lawyers in action, and being trained and mentored by our partners and associates.

The Individual Artist Fellowships program intends to recognize, uplift, and celebrate California artists. Fellowships will support artists from a broad spectrum of artistic practices, backgrounds, geographies and communities, whose work address themes including but not limited to race, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
