Responsible for the planning and design of transmission/ fibre optic roll outs (backbone network, Fibre to the Home (FttH), etc.), including needs assessment of a roll out, collaboration with stakeholders, site selection (considering factors like accessibility, security, power availability etc.), cost estimation Advise on design best practices, industry standards, procurement process and identify & engage with vendors for equipment procurement process Advise on construction timelines, quality, and compliance with safety standards Deliver tasks and take on responsibilities as agreed with the Project Director and report back to the Project DirectorPlease send your application before Friday March 20th. Qualifications of Radio Network (rollout) and Transmission Expert: Education/training : University degree (‘Master’s or German Diplom’) in Business Administration, or Engineering Language : Knowledge of English C1-level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Language General professional experience: 8 years of professional experience in the ICT Infrastructure Development (data centre industry). 8 years of professional experience in the Infrastructure Development (data centre ecosystem) Specific professional experience: 6 years of professional experience in the roll out of ICT networks and transmission/ fibre optic infrastructure Leadership/management experience : – Not applicable – International professional experience outside the country/region of assignment : 5 years of professional experience in outside of Sub-Sahara Africa Professional experience in the country/ region of assignment : 5 years of professional experience in Sub-Sahara Africa (in accordance with UN DESA Statistics Division) Experience in the field of development cooperation : 3 years of experience in development cooperation projects Other : - Not applicable –
