Job responsibilities
Short DescriptionAs Account Executive, you will become a part of our small, aspiring Kognic China team. We currently consist of three people that work closely together with our Headquarter based in Sweden. In this role you act as Kognic's face towards the market which requires you to have a deep understanding of our product, value proposition, and the nature of our customers pain points. We look to you to build our China pipeline and continuously hunt for new opportunities. We expect you to act with high urgency to creatively discover, engage and land new customers and to handle the full sales cycle from pre-sales to closed deal. Responsibilities Network in general. Independently build relationships with relevant people in our industry. That includes having informal and formal meetings, and conversations on a regular basis. Network at conferences. Be regular attendants of industry events to connect with people responsible for developing, selling, or using market-leading perception systems. Close relationship with marketing. Be the eyes and ears of the market and create valuable input for marketing to enhance our ability to be relevant and on point. Get to know the strongest perception teams in the world. Identify which teams are the best, and build a strong enough relationship with them to schedule introduction meetings explaining why we are their best choice of partner. Build relationships. Keep engaging, relevant stakeholders and build trust/rapport over time. Make sure we stay in touch through meetings, emails/messages, chats at conferences, etc., without becoming a nuisance. Build strong technical know-how. Absorb information relevant to Kognic’s offering/our customers’ work to allow for competent conversations without communication overhead. Progress deals with urgency. Ensure that opportunities in the pipeline are progressing by acting proactively and taking ownership of said progress. Be the lead in driving quoting processes towards customers. Demonstrate our product capabilities: Perform product demos to showcase how our product and services help the customer fulfill their needs. Monitor how market needs evolve: Bring new customer needs to the product strategy and commercial offering for evaluation. Work closely with all relevant stakeholders: At Kognic, we collaborate with the entire organization to proceed as quickly as possible with the pains of the customer or other hurdles within the organization that limit our ability to grow our business. Manage the existing account and set out account goals and follow up: Establish revenue/margin goals for an account and lead the account team to ensure these are met. Job Requirements
Competence Profile You will likely succeed in this role if you have a proactive mindset and an absolute urgency for hunting deals. Besides that, we expect you to be: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Excellent communication skills with a passion for networking. Technical educational background or equivalent working experience. At least 2-3 years of previous experience working in a customer-facing role in the field of Sales/ Business Development in the automotive industry or in SaaS enterprise. Good understanding, and a genuine interest in tech-related areas with the ability to demonstrate mobile business intelligence within software development/trends/capabilities. Previous experience of demonstrating and instructing new clients in software-related areas and discuss their understanding for safe perception is a merit. Having the ability to travel to long-distance destinations on a monthly/quarterly basis when needed to attend conferences, exhibitions, and fairs. Are a Chinese National.
