Quality Control Analyst. As a dedicated Analytical Laboratory Chemist with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical chemistry, I specialise in quality checks for fertilizer formulations. I completed my higher education in the UK, earning a three-year degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Huddersfield, where I graduated with first-class honors. This achievement led to a scholarship offer for PhD research in the same field at the university. My journey in pharmaceuticals is driven by a passion for drug development and the pharmaceutical industry. I aspire to become a formulation scientist, contributing to the advancement of drug formulation and improving pharmaceutical products, motivated by a desire to make a meaningful impact in this field. In my current role, I utilise wet chemistry techniques and quality control processes to ensure the integrity of fertilizer formulations. I collect samples daily from the production plant and lean pack to assess metal percentages in the formulations. My responsibilities are include performing ICP analysis to verify the presence of phosphorus, potassium, and other essential metals, as well as conducting LECO analysis to measure nitrogen levels. Additionally, I operate the Camsizer machine to ensure particle size consistency, meeting specifications before shipping. My commitment to quality is evident in my thorough daily system and leak checks on the LECO and ICP instruments & weighing balance check, ensuring high accuracy and precision due to their frequent use. I also conduct weekly maintenance checks on all instruments, including ICP, LECO, HPLC, GC, and SKALAR, to maintain optimal performance.
