A competent researcher, presenter and writer as well as experienced and successful in grant applications. I’m a conscientious individual who enjoys travel and forming national and international connections and collaborations between researchers and clinicians alike. After moving from the UK, I spent eight years in Sweden where I completed my M.Sc. and Ph.D. I continued my research in Canada as a Postdoctoral Fellow whilst simultaneously establishing a metabolomics lab from the ground up. My colleagues describe me as "not only a fine scientist but a friendly and welcoming person who goes above and beyond what is expected from him in a group setting". I feel that I’m now well prepared to move into a more commercial environment and bridge the connection between academia and commerce. The experience of translational academic and clinical research and associated challenges it provided has given me a solid base to move forward from of which I will be able to draw on and incorporate my strong interpersonal skills and connections I have made nationwide.
