A personable leader, with more than 26-years experience in Asia developing teams, driving People strategy, building tourism ventures, and creating value at all levels. I have lived/worked in Asia since 1999 when I moved to Thailand to co-found specialized luxury travel company Smiling Albino, which I sold my ownership of in 2013 to pursue a career in people development within the travel space. A lifelong learner, in 2011, I spent five-months as a Fellow in the Asia Pacific Leadership Program at the East-West Center in Hawaii, which sent me on a new journey, eventually joining EXO Travel as their Director of People Development. There, I was responsible for designing, and delivering development programs for EXO's 940 team members at 26 offices in 10 countries. Shaping HR strategy, refining succession planning, training systems, and employee engagement were major focuses, while supporting HR teams across Asia. COVID brought an end to this role but opened a new door at Agoda. Now I work within Agoda's Talent Development team as an Organizational Strategy and Development Senior Consultant, refining the effectiveness of teams, working with department heads to ensure their teams are engaged, growing, and delivering business value. We rely on data to drive decisions, helping us to move fast in the creation of training programs and interventions that benefit team members across the organization. I have a strong interest in employee fulfillment, happiness and community engagement. Over the years I've managed multiple community outreach programs in Asia, and have worked as a Team Building Consultant for such clients as AstraZeneca, BP, HSBC and Tetra Pak. I've also written for publications around the world, cycled to Mount Everest Base Camp (Tibet), run half-marathons in 5 counties, and maintain a travel podcast (www.talktravelasia.com).
