Responsibilities included conducting literature reviews, performing experimental work, analyzing data, and collaborating with other researchers. • Change functional groups and break down plastics using a Parr reactor. • Evaluate the quality of water and other solutions by analyzing Total Organic Carbon (TOC). • Reduce the size of particles using a ball mill. • synthesize porous catalysts such as UiO-66. • Conduct biomass pretreatment and composition analysis to determine the effect of chemical pretreatment. • Characterize catalysts and biomass before and after processing using spectroscopic techniques such as X- ray diffraction and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. • Analyze reaction products using high-performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography. ACHIEVEMENTS • Trained in fluid friction to understand flow characteristics and frictional forces in fluids. • Trained in emergency safety procedures, including CPR first aid, fire extinguisher use, and chemical storage. • Developed personal and professional traits through the John Robert Powers Thailand Workshop.
