(4 years 2 months) Significant experience in protein crystallography and cryoEM, covering skills from construct design to structure solution, working with a vast diversity of protein families including GPCRs, multiprotein complexes and membrane proteins. Significant experience with cryoEM and crystallography sample preparation and sample optimisation, state-of-the-art data collection, data processing, structure refinement and structural analysis of ligand-binding sites. Experience with integrated projects spanning the drug discovery pipeline, working closely with medicinal chemists and protein/biophysics scientists. Experience with XFEL including sample generation, data collection and processing. Training in structural biology project management including proposal writing and costing. Record keeping using ELN software and databases. Presenting data to clients and project teams. Supervision of a lab technician. Responsible for structural biology lab management for 3 years, ensuring quality and best practice. Organisation of synchrotron beamtime and other resources. Elected by staff as EU Work’s Council delegate, attending senior leadership and finance meetings.
