    In this position I am primarily tasked with the design of Photovoltaic Distribution Boards (PVDBs) as well as a variety of other systems for the renewable energy industry. While in this position I have tasked myself with making massive improvements to the drawing process to increase efficiency in the workshop and bringing schematics to the customer on time.Through this position I have become very familiar with the electrical drawing package SkyCAD.Another aspect of my role has been assembly of systems developing my skills in electrical wiring and mechanical construction.I am also occasionally tasked with programming the PLCs that control the PVDBs, as well as configuring a variety of communications equipment that are used within the systems, aiding my skills in programming for logic controllers and device configuration.

    As President of the ACSE Society I was in charge of a committee of 10 representatives from the ACSE cohort. Together we ran an assortment of events for the students in the department, including; a trip to Siemens in Manchester, a Q&A session with the Industrial Advisory Board, a pizza & quiz social, an interactive session using the Universal Robots UR5 (thanks to Siemens) and of course the end of year ball as well as many more. As part of this role, I also had the chance to work with the department on several occasions to bring the thoughts of the students forward to the staff to help benefit everyone on the course.
