We use the Packer template to pull the source AMI from Security Accounts and bake the 2-stage standard AMI across the SaaS farm, containing common Linux packages, JVM versions, and other basic tools. In stage three, we build customer-specific AMIs with the desired controller version, whitelisting IP addresses and adding third-party extensions.
