* Developed and actively maintained AppDynamics SaaS cloud provisioning tool. AppDynamics SaaS cloud provisioning tool for rapid and scalable deployment of AppDynamics APM(Application Performance Monitoring) software in SaaS clouds. It is a completely custom-tailored solution that can reliably and rapidly deploy our software. Our site reliability engineering team uses this tool every day for all SaaS maintenance activities.
* Lead engineer for the design and development of the proprietary ZDT(Zero Down Time) process for Cisco AppDynamics Performance Monitoring(APM), which ensured almost Zero downtime for the APM controller during upgrades and maintenance.
* Designing and implementing deployment automation and configuration management
* AWS Migration from DC2 to AWS: As part of Controller migration from DC2 data center to AWS Cloud(SaaS First(), I have been deeply involved in early proof of concept (POC) work to choose AWS Aurora database, cloud provisioning, and automation tools such as Terraform and Chef. I did the AWS Aurora database tuning, tweaking, and Performance valuation for supporting the controller database in the Cloud.
* Designing and enforcing best practices and standards for new application services
* Created CI and CD pipelines with Jenkins and Docker to automate the build process of applications.
* Implemented systems automation using scripting languages like Python and Bash.
* AMI Build Pipeline for the controller is workflow automation for building the controller AMI from scratch to specific customers. We use the Packer template to pull the source AMI from Security Accounts and bake the 2-stage standard AMI across the SaaS farm, containing common Linux packages, JVM versions, and other basic tools. In stage three, we build customer-specific AMIs with the desired controller version, whitelisting IP addresses and adding third-party extensions.
