2 years 10 months In my role as a Key Account Manager at Schneider Electric UK&I, I am responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships across a portfolio of key customers, working closely with IDNOs, ICPs and CPOs to support the delivery of complex infrastructure and energy projects. I act as the primary commercial point of contact, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and translated into effective, value-driven solutions. I work cross‐functionally with internal engineering, operations and delivery teams to manage opportunities from early engagement through to successful execution, with a strong focus on long-term partnership, commercial performance and customer satisfaction. My role involves identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts, supporting new business development, and navigating technical, regulatory and commercial considerations across the project lifecycle. I am particularly happy to bring my technical knowledge into the role, using it to add credibility with customers, support informed decision making, and bridge the gap between technical delivery teams and commercial objectives. (1 year 7 months) As a Tendering Engineer, I specialise in preparing tenders for the GenieEvo team, focusing on Medium Voltage Switchgear for major projects often valued at over £1 million. Additionally, I am in charge of the tendering process for Reclosers at the Leeds factory, collaborating with global teams across Schneider Electric, including those in Brazil and Indonesia, to ensure we meet our customers' specific needs. I work closely with the OKKEN LV tendering team to identify opportunities for product development. With my background in Low Voltage systems, I am deeply engaged in the intricacies of our offerings, addressing specific standards and common customer requirements. In this capacity, I lead multiple teams focused on enhancing our Low Voltage products, a role that heavily emphasizes project management. My position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, client interaction, and people management skills, enabling me to drive successful outcomes and foster collaborative relationships within the organization and with our customers.

As a Junior Tendering Engineer, my role revolves around tendering GenieEvo, a form of Medium Voltage Switchgear, and reclosers. Handling ETO (Engineered to Order) projects, I encounter daily roadblocks that demand creative problem-solving. However, there's nothing more satisfying than overcoming these challenges, finalising the quote, and delivering a solution that leaves both our team and the customer delighted. This constant interplay of overcoming obstacles and achieving successful outcomes fuels my passion for the intricacies of tendering and the dynamic world of engineering. I specialise in tendering for reclosers (being the only tender engineer in Leedsplant for the recloser product), which are essential circuit breakers that open and close during power outages, such as when a tree falls on a power line. These reclosers are manufactured in Brazil, and my role involves liaising with teams across the globe to ensure customer satisfaction in the UK and Ireland. My role involves a blend of technical expertise, project management, and client interaction to deliver competitive and high-quality tenders.

As the lead FAT test engineer for Okken (Low Voltage Switchgear), I garnered extensive expertise in low voltage systems. My role involved comprehensive testing and validation, enabling me to deeply understand the intricacies of low voltage technologies. This experience has not only honed my technical skills but also equipped me with a profound understanding of electrical engineering principles in real-world applications, that i could then pass onto the customers of the product. During my spare time, I enthusiastically collaborated with the GenieEvo FAT engineers to delve into the nuances of medium voltage systems, comprehensively exploring their distinctions from low voltage counterparts and their diverse applications. This hands-on experience allowed me to gain a holistic understanding of the unique processes, intricacies, and practical applications of medium voltage, further enriching my expertise in electrical engineering.

3 years 9 months During my tenure at GR Electrical Services, I held the pivotal role of lead test engineer, responsible for conducting comprehensive testing on all products prior to their departure from the plant. Every panel underwent meticulous testing under my supervision, and only after resolving any issues identified during the process, did I provide the final sign-off for shipment. Additionally, when clients visited, I personally executed the full testing procedures, ranging from fundamental insulation resistance tests to elaborate changeover scheme tests on high-value projects encompassing transformers and ATS switches, some valued at over one million pounds.

(1 year 1 month) As an apprentice test engineer, I had the privilege of learning under the guidance of an industry expert, where I gained insights into the testing procedures for low voltage switchgear and transformers. Additionally, I had the opportunity to shadow my mentor during customer witness tests, allowing me to observe and assimilate the best practices for customer interaction within the context of testing.

(1 year 6 months) As an apprentice site engineer, I embarked on a journey of learning and growth, immersing myself in the nuances of executing modifications, conducting rigorous testing, and proficiently fitting various equipment. This hands-on experience not only provided me with a solid foundation in practical engineering skills but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the meticulous attention to detail required in the field. I eagerly embraced the challenges and complexities inherent in the role, emerging with a robust skill set and a profound understanding of the intricacies of site engineering.
