Summary
Lead Electrical Engineer @ Tetra Tech, PE. As a Professional Engineer (DE, CO, CA, MN, ND) with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and over a decade of experience in utility and substation engineering, I am committed to technical excellence, process improvement, and cost efficiency. Currently, I am serving as a lead engineer on several innovative (HVDC) substation engineering projects at Tetra Tech. Prior, I served as a Senior Engineer at Pepco Holdings (an Exelon company), where I lead critical corrective and preventative maintenance programs for substations across Atlantic City Electric (NJ) and Delmarva Power (DE & MD), managing a substantial capital and operation & maintenance budget. My role focused on optimizing budgeting and forecasting, driving cost efficiencies, and delivering effective maintenance solutions that enhance reliability, safety, and meet or exceed regulatory requirements. In my past roles in reliability engineering and substation engineering, I had developed a deep expertise in substation design, financial analysis, and project management. As part of the reliability engineering group, I performed equipment failure investigations and authored reports with corrective actions to our teams to improve system performance. In substation engineering, I designed and project managed over 85+ substation projects over approximately 7 years, including the complete replacement of 16 unit substations in Cecil County, MD—one of my proudest accomplishments. Beyond my core responsibilities, I have taken an active role in training colleagues on our new Enterprise Asset Management (AS8) and project tracking systems, ensuring seamless adoption across teams. I also led PHI’s company-wide Summer and Winter readiness programs, coordinating preparedness efforts across all three utilities and working directly with VP-level leadership to ensure operational readiness. My passion for mentorship is reflected in my experience as an adjunct professor and in coaching new engineers, fostering the next generation of industry professionals. Outside of work, I actively give back to my community by volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, and the local Food Bank, having logged over 200 volunteer hours in the past five years. I am always open to connecting with professionals who share a passion for utility/substation engineering, asset management, and continuous improvement.
