Job responsibilities
1. Market Development & Client Acquisition
Identify and develop potential markets for rubber machinery (e.g., vulcanizing machines, open mills, rubber breaking machines) in target regions (e.g., Southeast Asia, the Middle East).
Approach new clients through industry exhibitions (e.g., RubberTech China, K Show), online platforms (LinkedIn, Alibaba.com), and local dealer networks.
Conduct market research to analyze customer needs, competitors, and industry trends, then formulate sales strategies accordingly.
2. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with overseas clients, providing product consultations, technical specifications, and customized solutions.
Handle customer inquiries, negotiate contracts, and resolve post-sales issues (e.g., delivery delays, product adjustments) to ensure high satisfaction.
Collaborate with clients to understand their production requirements (e.g., capacity, safety standards) and recommend suitable machinery models.
3. Product Promotion & Technical Sales
Demonstrate expertise in rubber machinery functions, such as the operation principles of vulcanizing machines and the application scenarios of open mills.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations (bilingual: English + Chinese) showcasing product advantages (e.g., energy efficiency, CE certification compliance).
Coordinate with domestic technical teams to provide clients with detailed machine drawings, installation guides, and after-sales support plans.
4. Order Execution & Logistics Coordination
Manage the full sales cycle: from quotation and order confirmation to production scheduling and delivery.
Coordinate with manufacturers, logistics providers, and customs agents to ensure on-time delivery of machinery (e.g., arranging FOB/CIF shipments, preparing customs documents).
Track order progress and update clients on production status, addressing any delays proactively.
5. Cross-Cultural Communication & Team Collaboration
Communicate with domestic teams (sales, R&D, production) in basic Chinese to relay client requirements (e.g., machine customization needs).
Translate technical documents (e.g., user manuals, quality certificates) between English and Chinese with the help of translation tools.
Collaborate with international colleagues to align sales strategies with market trends in target countries.
6. Sales Performance & Reporting
Achieve monthly/annual sales targets (e.g., revenue, new client acquisition numbers) and submit regular progress reports to management.
Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities (e.g., untapped markets, product upselling points).
Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to improve product knowledge and negotiation skills.
7. Compliance & After-Sales Support
Ensure sales activities comply with international trade regulations (e.g., export controls, tariffs) and company policies.
Provide after-sales service guidance, such as assisting clients with machine installation supervision and connecting them with local maintenance teams.
Collect client feedback on product quality and service, then share insights with the R&D team for continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
1. Educational Background
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business/engineering is a plus but NOT mandatory.
2. Work Experience
0-1 year of sales experience (internships in industrial equipment/trade are acceptable).
No prior rubber machinery knowledge needed—on-the-job training provided for product basics.
3. Language Skills
Fluent in written/spoken English (no formal certification required).
Basic Chinese communication (e.g., greetings, simple emails) is preferred but NOT required; willingness to learn Chinese is a must.
4. Soft Skills
Ability to use basic office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, email).
Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with clients from diverse cultures.
Adaptability to travel occasionally (e.g., to local trade fairs).
