Teachers will follow a syllabus designed to supplement the Chinese national curriculum, providing students with a fun and engaging English experience that gives them a more authentic and rounded skill set. Lessons are focused on providing a non-threatening environment which allows all students ample opportunity to hone their language skills and thrive. We pride ourselves on the high level of our training, which equips teachers with the necessary positive approach to classroom management that is characteristic of the programme. Teachers are based at one or two local primary school in the Changning district of Shanghai, the class size is about 35-40, working 8am – 4pm or 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 22 to 24 lessons per week, 35 minutes each lesson, with a long winter break that is partially compensated, ideal for those looking to travel China or the surrounding region. The summer vacation does not form part of this 9-10 months contract but candidates wishing to remain in Shanghai during this period can find extra teaching hours working for our in-house intensive English courses.
