About the University and Department Overview Established in 2018, Westlake University is a new type of research university located in Hangzhou, China. Founded by prominent scientists and scholars, and supported by philanthropists and the Chinese government, Westlake University is committed to building a truly international, world-leading, research-focused university. At present, Westlake has four schools: Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, and Medicine, with students at undergraduate and graduate levels. The Graduate School is the department that organizes and implements graduate education and degree work. It is primarily responsible for the University’s graduate student admissions and training, and building a team of graduate supervisors. It is also in charge of the organization, management and services related to graduate degree conferral and the development of degree programs. Position Summary The Graduate School seeks a full-time International Graduate Admissions Coordinator. The role is expected to participate in international graduate student admissions and related programs and activities. Job Responsibilities: 1.Develop and manage international graduate recruitment and admission processes at Westlake University. 2.Develop and execute marketing programs for international graduate recruitment, including but not limited to advertisements, admissions promotion events, social media, websites, and school visits. 3.Develop and maintain partnerships with higher education institutions in China and abroad to attract high-quality international applicants. 4.Manage admissions-related procedures and activities including admission systems maintenance, candidate interviews, correspondence, visa applications, scholarship application, pre-arrival guidance, and pre-enrollment support, etc. 5.Organize and manage admissions-related programs and activities including but not limited to summer research internships, and other events. 6.Handle English translation and proofreading of official documents and academic materials. 7.Other tasks as assigned.

1.Non-Chinese citizen. 2.Three or more years of experience as a university administrator or relevant professional role. 3.Masters or higher degree. Native or near-native level English fluency; strong oral and written communication skills; high-level ability in Mandarin Chinese. 4.Proficient with standard office software packages. 5.Detail-oriented, with strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills, a proactive and responsible attitude; ability to work effectively within a team and across departmental boundaries; ability to balance and prioritize concurrent tasks. Availability for domestic and international travel as required. 6.Possess or acquire a strong familiarity with Westlake University and the university’s mission and goals. 7.Preference will be given to candidates with work experience at universities overseas or relevant experience in international student admissions.
