Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: • Local Supplier Development: Identify and onboard Thai suppliers for machining parts, hardware components, standard parts, dormitory leasing, shuttle services, forklift/crane rentals, and labor agencies. • Government & Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with local law firms, consulting agencies, IEAT industrial parks, and BOI offices to ensure adherence to Thai policies, laws, and resource requirements. • Work Visa Coordination: Assist Chinese expatriates in compiling and submitting BOI-compliant documentation for work permit applications. • Localization Support: Provide local insights to shape the Thailand factory's organizational structure and collaborate with HR to recruit Thai employees. • Project Coordination: Facilitate communication between project teams, EPC contractors, and local construction crews during factory renovation. • Logistics Management: Oversee accommodation, transportation, and meals for onsite staff during equipment installation and ramp-up phases. • Administrative Leadership: Transition to day-to-day administrative operations management post-mass production.
Job Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications: • Thai national with full professional fluency in Thai and Chinese (Mandarin); English proficiency is a plus. • Proven track record in supplier development and government relations (BOI/IEAT experience preferred). • Hands-on experience in work permit applications for foreign nationals. • Deep understanding of Thai labor laws, cultural nuances, and risk mitigation (e.g., labor unions, shift management). • Prior exposure to China-Thai business localization projects within manufacturing environments. • Ability to work flexibly and align with Hesai’s dynamic pace, including responsiveness outside standard hours. Preferred Skills: • Experience in team building and cross-functional collaboration. • Knowledge of project management workflows and local resource mobilization. • Background in factory/office renovation projects. • Established government connections in Thailand. • Familiarity with facility management and customs clearance procedures.
