Our client is a leading hedge fund in Asia. they are looking for a high potential data engineer to join their team.Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes, including large-scale data extraction and ingestion from different sources• Ensure program stability and maintain BAU operations. Develop real-time alerting, monitoring, and logging to uncover signals and proactively troubleshoot data quality or network issues• Support the team on data warehousing and unstructured data processing• Adhering to the teams’ existing framework, develop and maintain automatic dashboards, ensuring report quality and data integrityQualities look for • Ownership, bias for action, and intellectual curiosity• Proactive and self-motivated with an ability to work independently• Results driven, with attention to detail and ability to multi-task• Team player with a strong work ethic and a high level of maturity and integrity• Desire to work in a fast paced environment and culture

Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Technology, Data or related fields• Around 2 years of experience working in data engineering• Proven track record of building enterprise-level web crawlers and data pipelines• Strong experience in both front-end languages (HTML, JS, CSS) and back-end Python web framework (Flask, Django)• Strong experience in at least one database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Redshift)• Experience in data analysis (Pandas, Matplotlib) and code management (Git)• Familiar with cloud technology and operations in AWS, Azure or China clouds• Business fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
