Job responsibilities
Job Responsibilities: (Los Angeles & New York) Prepare, review, and submit customs clearance documents, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, customs declarations, etc. Calculate and verify customs duties and taxes to ensure compliance with current customs regulations and commodity requirements. Maintain communication with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to promptly resolve any issues arising during the customs clearance process. Conduct compliance reviews for goods requiring special permits (such as food, pharmaceuticals, and dangerous goods) to ensure they meet relevant regulations. Provide professional customs clearance consulting services. Track cargo movements, update clients on the customs clearance progress in a timely manner, and identify opportunities to help clients save on duties or utilize preferential trade agreements.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements: (Los Angeles & New York) Must hold a valid U.S. Customs Broker License and be familiar with the customs clearance procedures in the New York area. Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in customs clearance, be well-versed in both air and sea freight, and be familiar with U.S. customs regulations, commodity classification (HTS), and valuation rules. Be proficient in using customs clearance software and other office applications. Experience with ACE/ABI system operation is preferred. Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, be able to work efficiently under pressure, and handle unexpected clearance issues. Pay meticulous attention to detail and be fluent in both Chinese and English.
