Candidates for the post of classroom teacher at a foreign international school are sometimes expected to have a teaching credential from their home country in addition to their international teaching certification. To be eligible to teach in Chinese school courses, you must have completed at least 120 hours of TEFL certification or an equivalent English teaching credential, which may be obtained in a classroom setting or via online learning. References from two or three outstanding school teachers from either the current or previous school are necessary for this position.

For example, in very major Tier 1 cities like as Shanghai, in order to work and live in the city as a foreign teacher, you must first get a Shanghai resident visa before beginning your employment.

A bachelor's degree in the subject topic is also required for teaching in Shanghai and Beijing, as well as for teaching English in Shanghai. Having an English language teaching credential, being a native English speaker, and having a minimum of two years teaching experience are all additional qualifications for this position.
