How Can I Teach International School in China?

Thousands of openings at China's foreign schools for English language and subject teachers in China are available. Schoolteacher positions are open to candidates between the ages of 2 and 18. Educators in fields like business, mathematics, music, accounting, and chemistry are in great demand across China's educational system, from kindergarten through high school.

Chinese foreign schools: a teaching experience

With a bachelor's degree and a license to teach in China or a TEFL certificate, there are several opportunities for English speakers to work at foreign schools around the country.

Bilingual and international schools use the vast majority of foreign instructors in the fields of math, physical education, art, and business. There are several foreign schools in China where English teachers may work.

During the months of August and September, several foreign schools' courses begin. According to the school calendar, February and November are also acceptable months.

An international school in China that employs licensed instructors to teach AP English, IGCSE, A Level, or IB courses will have hiring standards for topic teaching.

An English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher's primary responsibility is to help pupils at an international school in China improve their ability to speak and understand English. Employers prefer candidates who have at least a bachelor's degree and are certified in one of the teaching methods of English as a second language (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA). A subject teacher makes more money than you will.

China has how many international schools?

As reported by the 2016 China International School Development Report, China's total of 661 international schools has surpassed that of the United Arab Emirates, making it the world's top international school destination (IEduChina, 2017). In 2020, according to TopTutorjob's study, there will be 156 additional foreign schools in China established between 2017 and 2019.

International schools for foreign nationals (also known as schools for expatriates, 118), private-funded K-12 schools with an international curriculum (388), and international programs in public schools are all examples of international schools. China's foreign school market is dominated by private schools, according to the statistics shown above. Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong are home to the majority of these institutions.

More than half of students in foreign schools take A-levels (45%), followed by IB (23%), Advanced Placement (AP) (30%) and other standardized tests. Foreign schools' excellence is largely defined by the number and caliber of its international faculty and administrative personnel. Due to the fast expansion of international schools, qualified foreign educators are in great demand.
