Summary

My passion for software development stared when I joined TWT Studio in the first year of Tianjin University. Throughout the following three years, I developed several Web applications designed to serve students and faculties of our university (Tianjin University) including a learning materials sharing platform which has more than 1000 daily active users and a management information system of students. This passion carried me through my internship at Meituan which is one of the biggest Chinese shopping platform for locally found consumer products and retail services. During my internship I constructed a management information system for internal shopping use, reduced operating costs by 60%. Meanwhile I developed a filter to filter and clean server logs related to user privacy, reduced risk of disclosing privacy data by 90%. My performances impressed my supervisors. One problem I am committed to solving is how to apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve challenging tasks such as improving quality of network transmission and indoor navigation. When I worked as research assistant at Tianjin Key Lab of Advanced Networking (TANK) Laboratory, I led 3 classmates to implement DDQN to design Adaptive Bitrate Algorithm can adaptively apply bitrate selection for live streaming to improve quality of user experience under different network quality with excellent performance results. And our project won The Award of Best Undergraduate Student in AITrans (Intelligent Internet Technology Competition). And I built and patented an indoor navigation system for smartphones collaborated with 2 doctoral students by implementing machine learning models including DNN and LSTM and A* algorithm achieved error mean of 1.23m. There are still more challenges awaiting for me, but I firmly believe that I am capable to tackle it. And I am really looking forward to fully show my talent in a larger platform.
