  I am a graduate teaching assistant at the UCD Sutherland School of Law and the liaison tutor for Negligence, Criminal and Contract tutorials. I am the point of contact between the professors and the other tutors, and teach first year law students, breaking legal doctrines into smaller parts that can be understood by students who are still unfamiliar with most legal concepts.

  I completed a summer vacation scheme at Dentons Dublin, working in the litigation department. I developed corporate legal writing and research skills and gained experience drafting legal documents in an office environment.

  I worked as a research assistant cataloguing and summarising articles from The Far East, a magazine written by the Maynooth Mission to China, with an emphasis on how missionaries learned Mandarin and their experiences in China. I worked without any hands-on supervision, requiring me to create a basic cataloguing system for the project, developing my independent problem-solving abilities. The project required taking into account the function of the magazine as both a propaganda and fundraising tool, strengthening critical thinking, organizational and reasoning skills.

  I was the head of a small team responsible for translating manga from Japanese to English and preparing it for publication. I coordinated tasks across multiple time zones, translated, cleaned, typeset and formatted pages in a timely manner, developing teamwork and organizational skills.
