Responsible for forwarding and brokerage sales in Northern California

Joined Daher America as branch manager in 1987. Daher America merged with Golden Eagle Group and was renamed Daher Golden Eagle and remained as branch manager. In the late 1990s the company was acquired by US Freightways and eventually renamed USF Worldwide. I was tapped as general manager of the combined international forwarding, customs brokerage, domestic forwarding, and Coast Consolidators operations.

Managed International Export Operations

Joined the company as export manager, responsible for export sales and operations management. Vastly improved profitability over four years and was asked to take responsibility for customs brokerage activity as well.

The company designed and ordered apparel, hats, umbrellas, bags and accessories produced primarily overseas. The company also sold internationally. The position was responsible for all letters of credit, freight, customs clearance, warehouse inventory at owned and contracted facilities around the country, assembly of products into gift packs, and exporting.
