Senior Structural Engineer II - Electric Grid Infrastructure Services at Sargent & Lundy. I am a senior at Elizabethtown College majoring in Civil and Environmental engineering. I am a motivated, adaptable problem solver looking to be able to use my skills to help others. This summer I conducted research on the computational analysis of steel joists at elevated temperatures. Through this experience, I was able to improve my programming skills, specifically using Matlab and Abaqus. In addition, researching gave me the opportunity to become more adaptable and to problem solve when issues arise. Last summer I was an engineering intern at PennDOT central office in the Pavement Asset Management Unit. Through this internship, I was able to gain valuable work experience and improve my professional communication skills. Both of these experiences have provided me with different types of work environments, helping me to improve and develop my distinct skills. Through my coursework and experiences, I have a growing interest in the design of bridges and structural components of buildings. My ultimate career goal is to become a Professional Engineer. I am currently seeking civil engineering opportunities and would love to connect with you!
