In my role at Graduate Recruitment & Admissions, I am responsible for evaluating applications for admissions. I also assist with visits to colleges for recruitment purposes, while explaining graduate programs and requirements. In addition, I assist with academic and administrative departments by disseminating information to prospective graduate students.

I teach and inform students from ages 6-16 about musical concepts to further solidify their understanding of choral repertoire by scaffolding instructional material. In my work, I guide group activities (i.e. singing games, Kódaly methods, Orff methods) to promote healthy singing through rote and aural instruction.

I arranged group visits for prospective students to aid in recruitment efforts. I also assisted administrative departments by disseminating information to visitors. I did this by creating & implementing unique itineraries for visiting high schools and community-based organizations.

I served as a paraeducator at Mansfield Elementary School (MES) (former name: Goodwin, Vinton, & Southeast Elementary). I assisted with daily classroom functions, morning routines, recess, and dismissal. I also provided scholastic support for the following subjects: reading, writing, mathematics. Lastly, I worked in the Autism Spectrum classroom at MES (former name: Vinton Elementary School).

With support from the BOLD Womens Leadership Network, I created a documentary series about housing insecurity and homelessness at the college level. I conducted research by interviewing five individuals that have been impacted by this phenomenon. Each individual has an episode on YouTube and the full interviews are transcribed in the Housing (In)Justice magazine.

I was selected to serve as a University representative from a highly competitive pool of over 100 applicants. Within my position, I conduct school group tours, anticipate visitors needs, and adjust programs to appropriate age levels and interests. I mentor younger student guides by modeling presentation format, responding to questions and providing critical feedback to hone their skills. As a Recruitment Specialist, I provide compelling guided campus tours to prospective students and their families during the college selection process. Furthermore, I serve as a host for the Lodewick Visitors Centers new and upcoming podcast: Go With the Flow.

Black Haven is a collective of artists and art administrators of color working to uplift local creatives in the state of Connecticut. As an arts administrator, my job is to connect with creatives and further showcase their work through various platforms such as social media campaigns, live events, galleries, and artist-centered table talks. Recently, I have been connecting with youths to engage them in our Black Haven Film Festival and Oasis Concert Series. As an RA, I managed a floor of 20 residents in addition to conducting the living agreement for residents within 16 buildings. I also led creative programming for Keller Hall and Fenwick Hall to promote healthy living and learning. In addition to connecting with students individually, I crafted bulletin boards containing crucial resources and current events for my residents.

My role consisted of educating an incoming class of 3,000 students about university resources. I facilitated discussion groups and engagement activities to promote student development. Likewise, I served as mentor for 200 students pursuing a variety of disciplines within the School of Fine Arts at the University of Connecticut.
