About the ClientAn international medical devices company is looking for a Plant General Manager to lead its Suzhou site and build the capabilities needed for its next stage of growth.This role combines day-to-day site leadership with a broader development agenda. Alongside delivering safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing, you will work closely with engineering and R&D to strengthen local capabilities, support technology transfer and bring new products into production.The roleLead a site of approximately 100 employees, setting clear priorities and developing a strong leadership team.Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and people development.Strengthen manufacturing processes, engineering capabilities and continuous improvement.Partner with R&D and global teams on product localisation, industrialisation and technology transfer.Maintain strong regulatory compliance and a culture where product quality and patient safety guide decisions.Build effective working relationships across local functions and international leadership.This is an opportunity to shape how a site grows—developing its people, strengthening its technical capabilities and playing a meaningful role in the company’s manufacturing presence in China.

Who we’re looking forAn experienced Plant GM, Plant Director or Site Head from the medical devices industry.A track record of leading a manufacturing site with broad operational responsibility.Experience developing teams and improving site performance.The technical understanding to work closely with engineering and R&D, supported by experience in new product introduction or technology transfer.Strong English communication skills and confidence working in an international organisation.Willingness to be based in Suzhou. Candidates currently located elsewhere in China are welcome.
