Job responsibilities
- Promote and sell MicroGEM's products and services in an assigned geographic area, product range or customer list to meet or exceed sales goals. - Secure and expand business. Maintains and develops relationships with universities, research institutes, government agencies and industry while developing new market opportunities. - Organize or participate in seminars, presentations and sales negotiations for key or potential customers/partners. - Gather project information through various sales channels and actively follow up to achieve "Reference Generation" and "Successful Negotiation". Collaborate with the field support team to develop application notes, troubleshooting guides, and workflow strategies to ensure customer success and satisfaction in the adoption and use of MicroGEM products. - Prepare periodic reports such as: forecasts, visit reports, market and customer information, competitive analysis; ensure quotes and order follow up to ensure orders are placed for each project. - Provide remote support for the Spitfire platform as needed.
Job Requirements
- University degree in any life science discipline or business management. - 5+ years of business development or similar work experience in the life sciences or clinical diagnostics field. - Experience working in one or more of the following application markets: Food, Agriculture & Environment, Biopharmaceutical R&D, Biomedical Research, Molecular Forensics, Precision Medicine. - Experience with automated systems (programming and integration) or willingness to learn relevant skills to assist in the development of high throughput methods for clients. - Understanding of medical products or family of products and ability to analyze market trends, develop sales, pricing and profitability strategies, recommend improvements, and identify opportunities to increase revenue. - Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) - Bilingual preferred
