This details the specialist and particular duties required of teachers, as well as the benefits provided by the Academy. - The duties of elementary school teachers at Canton Fettes Academy are as follows: 1, To ensure that Safeguarding, Health and Safety and all other Academy policies are known, understood and incorporated into practice; 2, To be responsible for planning and facilitating creative and participatory learning for primary pupils in a highly inclusive environment; 3, to be able to use formative assessment to inform the planning and delivery of a personalized curriculum for each child; 4, to establish a nurturing and safe environment where children thrive in their learning; 5, develop co-teaching relationships with CNC subject matter and specialized teachers to foster a keen understanding of child development as well as language acquisition; 6, to create an environment of inquiry that values students' questions and guides their learning journey; 7, to develop good relationships with parents and the wider community through regular and effective communication; 8, to acquire and further develop a range of skills to meet the needs of English language learners.

Job Requirements: - Degree and recognized teaching qualification, Graduate Diploma/Higher Education degree preferred. - Evidence of relevant continuing professional development. - Minimum 2 years classroom experience. - Willingness to develop detailed knowledge and understanding of PYP and CNC. - Ability to promote each student's learning through ongoing formative assessment within the classroom. - Effective use of ICT in all aspects of learning and teaching. - Understanding of and commitment to child protection. - Participation in extra-curricular activities. - Experience of working in an international school preferred. - Experience of teaching through inquiry and a good understanding of what inquiry-based teaching means/looks like in the classroom is preferred.
