Job responsibilities
Seeking an Electrical Programming Engineer with a passion for automation and a talent for transforming complex manufacturing sequences into robust, high-precision control systems. In this role, you will be engaged in the development and optimization of our glass cold-processing machinery, working from our technical department in Hangzhou, China. Key Responsibilities: - Control System Development: Design and develop electrical control programs for glass cold-processing machine tools. Program logic control and motion control sequences using Siemens, Omron, and other PLCs to ensure high-precision machining operations. - Electrical Design & Drafting: Create detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using EPLAN or AutoCAD. Ensure all drawings are properly annotated with specifications and comply with industry standards and assembly requirements. - Servo & Motion Integration: Lead the on-site commissioning of electrical systems, including the parameter configuration and precision calibration of European-series servo drives (e.g., Siemens, Schneider Electric, Lenze). - Automated Production Line Integration: Participate in automated production line linking projects. Contribute to the design of electrical programming solutions and compile comprehensive programming and commissioning documentation. - Technical Support & Documentation: Provide technical support to production workshop operators and after-sales maintenance personnel. Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the electrical control systems. - High-Level Software Development: Utilize C++ (and related high-level languages) for advanced machine-level software integration, real-time data processing, and user interface (HMI) development where PLC ladder logic meets PC-based control. - Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in PLC technology and servo control strategies. Optimize existing PLC programs and servo parameters to improve machine cycle times and accuracy. Create reusable templates and standard libraries based on field feedback. - Additional Duties: Complete other related tasks as assigned by the department manager to support R&D and production goals.
Job Requirements
Education: - Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, with a solid foundation in electrical control theory. Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical programming and commissioning within a manufacturing environment. - Experience with glass cold-processing machinery or similar industrial machines is highly preferred. - Proven experience independently executing programming and debugging for automated production line linking projects will be given strong consideration. PLC & HMI Proficiency: - Expertise in programming Siemens, Omron, and Mitsubishi PLCs. Skilled in developing intuitive Touchscreen (HMI) interfaces. Servo & Drive Systems: - Strong familiarity with commissioning European servo systems (Siemens, Schneider, Lenze). Ability to independently perform servo parameter configuration and positioning accuracy calibration. Software & Design Tools: - Proficient in using EPLAN or AutoCAD for electrical drawing creation and management, with a thorough knowledge of electrical design standards and annotation protocols. - Understanding of basic logic and application of high-level languages such as C, C#, or C++ for industrial automation tasks. Soft Skills & Work Ethic: - High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities. - Willingness and ability to travel for on-site machine commissioning at customer facilities. Must be adaptable and resilient under pressure. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate technical requirements between mechanical teams, production departments, and clients.
