Job responsibilities
I. Role Overview The Director of Enrollment will lead the overall student recruitment and market expansion efforts for our Chinese language programs. This role is responsible for developing and executing annual enrollment plans, enhancing brand presence, and achieving enrollment targets. II. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning – Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly enrollment strategies aligned with the company's growth goals, identifying target markets and customer segments (e.g., overseas students, expatriates in China, corporate clients, partner schools). Channel Development – Build and maintain domestic and international enrollment channels, including but not limited to overseas partner schools, study abroad agencies, international schools, cultural sections of embassies/consulates, HR departments of multinational companies, and online education platforms. Marketing & Promotion – Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute online and offline recruitment events (e.g., open houses, demo classes, lectures, education fairs, social media campaigns) to increase brand visibility and conversion rates. Lead Conversion – Design and optimize the end-to-end enrollment funnel (inquiry → trial class → registration → payment) to improve lead response time and conversion efficiency. Team Management – Build and lead the enrollment team, set KPIs, conduct training and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness and motivation. Data Analysis – Regularly analyze enrollment data (channel sources, conversion rates, cost per lead, ROI) to inform strategic adjustments. Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with academic, operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure alignment between recruitment promises and program delivery, thereby maximizing student satisfaction and word-of-mouth referrals.
Job Requirements
Education – Bachelor's degree or above; preference for majors in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL), Marketing, Education, English, or related fields. Experience At least 5 years of enrollment/sales/marketing experience in the education/training sector, with no less than 2 years in a head of enrollment or team management role. Experience in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language or international education enrollment is highly preferred. Familiarity with recruitment channels for overseas students (especially non-ethnic Chinese) is a plus. Network & Resources – Existing connections with enrollment channels (e.g., study abroad agencies, Confucius Institutes abroad, international schools, expatriate communities) is a strong advantage. Language Proficiency Native or fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Strong English communication skills (able to use English as a working language for business negotiations, email correspondence, and event presentations). Knowledge of other languages (e.g., Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish) is a plus. Sales & Negotiation – Excellent B2C and B2B sales skills, negotiation abilities, and client relationship management. Data-driven mindset – Proficiency in using CRM systems, Excel, and basic data analysis tools to drive decision-making.
