Job Requirements:<br/><br/>The candidate will be responsible for teaching students in a verity of performance arts (i.e. dance/movement, theater monologues, improvisation, etc.), and the ideal candidate will help create and shape the course. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: instruction, grading, supervision, and communication with parents. Having a flexible schedule is a plus, as the class and/or class productions will/might meet after school and some performances during the school day and productions in the evenings during select times.<br/><br/>The candidate will work to get students interested in dramatic activities with an emphasis on performance. Areas to covered in depth will include vocabulary, roles in the theatre, pantomime, movement, acting (scene work and one act plays), theatre evaluation, and theatre history (from ancient Greek to the present), the reading of plays, theatre design and tech, and attendance at live theatre performance. To involve students every day in some performance-based activities. There should be an emphasis on memorization, working as a team, and classroom attendance. The candidate will work towards creating projects throughout the term in groups/teams/other departments for Project-Based Learning, just as they would encounter in the professional theatre world.

Qualifications/Experience:<br/><br/>1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or Arts Program.<br/>2. Versed in a variety of performing arts.<br/>3. Experience in implimenting Project-Based Learning.<br/>4. Two/Three-years of teaching experience at the secondary level.<br/>5. Experience teaching classes in the performing arts (theater, dance, etc.)
