Specific Areas of Responsibility will include: <br/> <br/>1. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils in Primary <br/>2. Acting as an ADSL to ensure that all safeguarding measures are taken to ensure the safety of children and <br/>those around them <br/>3. Sustaining a warm, loving culture in Lower School, putting in place any policies and measures required to <br/>ensure this. <br/>4. Primary Curriculum oversight and development, to include liaison with the Head of Lower School and <br/>Deputy Head (Standards) to ensure cohesion across the whole school <br/>5. Subject leadership of either Literacy or Mathematics across the Primary School <br/>6. Ensuring the exceptional progress and attainment of all pupils in Primary, to include the effective use of <br/>academic and progress data <br/>7. The development of increasingly effective teaching and learning strategies, to include leading QA <br/>processes to ensure consistency with expectations <br/>8. Ensuring Primary teachers have effective CPD to support their development <br/>9. Support for pastoral matters in Primary, referring to the Head of Lower School, the Head Master and to <br/>the DSL when appropriate <br/>10. Helping ensure communications with parents continue to be timely, two-way and highly engaging, <br/>working closely with the A&M team where necessary <br/>11. Working with the Head of Upper School (Pupils), the Head of Upper School (Systems and Leadership) and <br/>the Deputy Head (Standards) to ensure effective transitions <br/>12. Support the work of the A & M team as required, to include interviews with prospective students

Requirements:<br/><br/>have a teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience<br/>have good leadership skills<br/>be able to provide the necessary documents for obtaining a work visa to China<br/>be able to work in a team<br/>be willing to be involved in wider aspects of school life be a good all-round communicator (able to speak and write English)<br/>be caring and supportive of students’ need and emotional development at all times
