About YouThe person appointed will be expected to supervise postgraduate research students, to conduct their own research and to play a leading role in the research activities of the School. The position is open to candidates with research interests in any field of Applied Mathematics or Statistics with a strong record of mathematical publications, such as in journals that are highly regarded (A, A*) by the Journal Ranking of the Australian Mathematical Society. Applicants must have experience of PhD student supervision.We seek to appoint an articulate teacher, with international experience of teaching mathematics in English, as the successful candidate will be expected to teach modules offered by the School of Mathematical Sciences.Applicants will currently hold a senior lecturer/reader/associate professor rank or have at least four years of experience at lecturer/assistant professor rank.Your Remuneration, Benefits And SupportThe successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for up to 5 years, which may be extended by mutual agreement. Salary will be within the range of RMB 628,750 to RMB 772,893 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance) and you will have a range of benefits and entitlements, including accommodation allowance, insurances, schooling support, home flight, relocation & repatriation support, and paid annual leave.
