An important part of the role will be to act as the principal investigator on major research projects, leading funding bids, and developing innovative methodologies, and to Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate programmes while enhancing teaching standards and methodologies.The person appointed will also be expected to disseminate research findings through high-quality publications and international conferences, fostering the department’s reputation, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaborative opportunities and enhance student learning experiences.Candidates must have a PhD degree in Power Electronics, Machines, and Drives or a closely related field, and strong analytical and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and innovative academic environment. A proven record of research excellence with publications in peer-reviewed journals and success in securing research funding, and extensive teaching experience in higher education, including curriculum development and leadership in academic programmes are also essential.The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of five years starting May 2025 or as soon as thereafter.
