Do you like teaching English (or any other subject)? No, I'm referring to English. Every year, this is one of the most sought-after industries. People in China have an insatiable desire to study and grow. Many Chinese are taking up English as a second or third language in their professional lives in order to broaden their horizons and build contacts in the global marketplace.

A large percentage of foreigners who live or work in China claim to be English teachers when asked for a description of their occupation. In addition, it pays well, and you can even do it part-time while you work on your own company or your genuine passion. It also pays well.

Being an English native gives you an edge even if you don't know how to teach. Why? It's because they want to learn English from a native speaker. The first purpose is to learn the language, but the second is to practice having a conversation with someone from a different culture. They are frequently afraid to communicate in English because of the way Americans and other Westerners talk to them. So even if you don't have a lot of expertise teaching English to someone, simply being there and having a discussion with them is beneficial.

What if you don't want to be a teacher of English? You've got my ear. The absurdity of it all is that I have friends who are opening companies in China, such as swimming schools. As his company concept evolved, he added English lessons to swimming lessons for children. Initially, it was to educate children how to swim. His company has grown tremendously in the last several months!

The same was true for me when I traveled to China for business engagements and training. Of course, they're there to learn, but they also do so in order to network with other English-speaking professionals.

As a result, teaching English is still the most sought-after profession in China, with a wide range of applications across a wide range of sectors.

Marketing on the Internet (English)

To compete in today's global market, Chinese firms are keen to hire Native English speakers to assist them expand their brand and international reach. The Chinese manufacturer, on the other hand, has no idea what we're talking about (just browse some of their 1995 style iFrame and Flash websites for example).

Exactly how can you locate a manufacturer to work for? A little bit of originality and outreach is required, I always say. They'd all give everything to have an English website and marketing plan built by a Westerner, but the question is: can they afford it? It's also worth asking whether you can afford it if they can't.

Even though I've been living in China for over a decade now, I've found that Chinese company owners still don't understand the significance of English internet marketing.

So, you don't mind working for less? The owner of the Chinese firm will adore you after that. Although I hope you don't undervalue yourself, you are a huge asset to their company and should be compensated accordingly.

However, there is reason for optimism; I have seen Chinese companies increasing their expenditures on high-quality online marketing strategies. When it comes to dealing with a Chinese customer after the transaction, there is a lot of work involved. They will often beg for more services above what you originally agreed upon, and they will try to remain in contact with you at a high rate.

Just give it a go and see whether it's right for you before you commit long-term. Brand and trust-building are two of the biggest challenges for agencies.
