Do I Need A Visa For China

Many people, before leaving for the United States, will ask “Do I Need A Visa For China？” You will need to apply for a visa unless you meet the following visa waiver requirements.

According to bilateral agreements, citizens of some countries (List of Visa Exemption Agreements between the People's Republic of China and Foreign Countries) with corresponding passports 2. Citizens of Singapore, Brunei, and Japan holding ordinary passports may enter China without a visa.

Citizens of Singapore, Brunei and Japan holding ordinary passports who come to China for tourism, family visit, business or transit and intend to stay in China for a period of up to three months can enter China without a visa. For more than 15 days, you can enter China without a visa through a port open to foreigners. However, the following persons from these three countries must apply for visas in advance if they have one of the following circumstances.

(1) Holders of ordinary passports who come to China for tourism, family visit, or business and intend to stay in China for more than 15 days.

(2) Holders of ordinary passports who come to China for study, employment, long-term residence, or news reporting missions; and.

(3) Holders of Japanese diplomatic and official (official) passports (under bilateral agreements, holders of diplomatic and official passports for Singapore, Brunei No Chinese visa is required for stays of up to 30 days in China).

Foreigners holding ordinary passports of countries with which China has diplomatic relations shall travel to Hong Kong and Macao to participate in tours to Hong Kong and Macao and to register legally in Hong Kong and Macao. Group tours to the Pearl River (PRD) Delta organized by the travel agency of the Pearl River Delta Region for stays of up to 6 days do not require a visa. The Pearl River Delta region refers to the administrative areas of the following cities. Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Huizhou. For travel to Shantou, the above groups need to stay in the administrative area of Shantou and depart directly from Shantou.

Citizens of 51 countries with valid international travel documents and a transit ticket for a determined third country (region) with a 72-hour flight date and seat apply for a 72-hour transit visa waiver at the Beijing airport port of entry, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian and Xi An.

Citizens holding ordinary passports of the following 21 countries do not need to apply for visas for group tours to Hainan Province for stays of up to 15 days organized by international travel agencies approved by China National Tourism Administration and registered in Hainan Province: Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, United Kingdom, France, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Citizens holding ordinary passports of the following three countries do not need to apply for visas for group tours (at least two people) to Hainan Province for stays of up to 21 days organized by international travel agencies approved by the Chinese National Tourism Administration and registered in Hainan Province: the Republic of Korea, Germany and Russia.

According to the official mutual visa waiver agreement, citizens of Seychelles, Mauritius, Bahamas, San Marino, Fiji, Grenada, Serbia, Ecuador and Tonga who enter, exit or transit the country with a valid passport for a stay of up to 30 days are exempt from visa requirements.

Foreigners holding a valid "Permanent Residence Permit for Foreigners in the People's Republic of China" or "Residence Permit for Foreigners in the People's Republic of China" may enter the country without a visa.

Foreigners holding an APEC Business Travel Card may enter China without a visa.
